Bendigo Advertiser ''The way we were'' from 2000. Land Bill - The main purpose of the Bendigo Land Bill was to authorise the sale of land at the corner of Mitchell and High streets for 9000 Pounds. In 1870 the site was a gold mine on which a Bendigo councillor, Dr Boyd, had erected buildings, one of these buildings was the City Club Hotel. The clip is in a folder.
