Diggers & Mining. Stores at the diggings. Not all the men who went to the diggings were diggers. Some found it more profitable to sell to the diggers than to dig for gold themselves. Small stores were established on the goldfields and along the roads leading to them. Markings: 2 994.LIF. 5. Used as a teaching aid.
