The letter refers to a book 'Scottish Christian Herald' published in 1835 and brought to Bendigo by her G. G. Grandfather Andrew Stewart who was born in 1823 near Loch Lomond Scotland. He settled with his family in Goornong before drowning near Lynams Bridge on August 1 1863. Also mentioned is Margaret Marshall Stewart born Sandhurst in 1856.
