1970 National Bank watercolour painting reproduction Penguin Silver Mines , Tasmania signed Á.G'1871 Below the picture title the words - Reproduced by the National Bank in 1970 from the engraving in the national library of Australia by permission of the Trustees A sail / steamship is seen off the coast .The centre of the painting shows a mine shaft , frame and wheels connected to a horse-powered mechanism .There are various other buildings , horses and carts and people .The mine was only to last a year.
