Physical description

Framed certificate from Australasian Federal Referendum, paper on card under glass and framed with brown timber frame, shades of blue, gold and brown with black lettering, photographs of six state Premiers underneath a coat of arms and showing Victoria's Parliament House. Written on address: 'This is to certify that the question of an Australasian Federal Constitution was submitted to the electors of Victoria on the 27th day of July 1899 and that out of a poll of 163,783 votes, 152,653 were cast in favour of such Federal Australasian Constitution and further, that Alexander M. Dempster voted at the said election'.
