Illuminated address presented to J. Armstrong Esq on the eve of his departure from the Bendigo Builders and Contractors Association 23.5.11. Leather bound with gold embossing, an oval photograph of recipient bordered by hand painted flowers and members signatures. Printed by Bolton Bros, Bendigo. Address reads: Dear Sir, 'On the eve of your departure from Bendigo, the members of the Bendigo Builders and Contractors Association wish to assure you of the high esteem in which you have been held by those who have had business transactions with you, as well as by those who gave enjoyed your personal acquaintance. Your willingness at all times to help the members individually and collectively i the best interests of the trade, combined with your cast experience and sounds judgement will never be forgotten. While regretting our loss, we will ever be pleased to hear that you are prospering in your undertakings and the news of the success you deserve will be extremely gratifying.
