White, tri-fold card with pattern cut edges. The top fold has pink, wild rose flowers over an irregular edge rectangle with a floral & crazed pattern on it. Between the rectangle & the edge are some scattered flowers. The bottom edge is cut along the edges of the petals. The lower fold has the rectangle on it with the scattered flowers & some pink petals. It has Greetings printed in gold in the bottom left corner. The bottom fold opens down & the top fold opens up.

The group is supporting the Australian Army, Navy and Airforce, each man dressed in support of one of these services, children dressed as an individual character, while the women each dressed in white street clothes and hats. Joseph Anderson Panton migrated to Sydney in 1851 and went to the Port Phillip District. After farming briefly at Mangalore, he tried for gold without success at Mount Alexander. In 1852 Panton was appointed assistant commissioner at Kangaroo Gully, near Bendigo, senior assistant commissioner at Bendigo in 1853 and senior commissioner in 1854.
