Gilbert Rule collection: exercise book, patterned on front and back. Inside cover 'The Course of Life' 37 pages of handwritten ideas about life written by G. Rule. Primarily based on Christian ideas. These are possibly the handwritten notes of Gilbert Rule, who was a lay preacher. Bryan Wardle, the donor, states in a handwritten note that 'I have enclosed his notebooks used in the preparation of his sermons'.
