Historical information
Thomas Langdon (1832–1914) was a prominent Victorian politician who served as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the Parliament of Victoria. In 1902, he represented the electorate of Korong in the Legislative Assembly and chaired the state’s key Royal Commission on the handling of grain. His connection to Bendigo dates back to 1853, when he first arrived in Australia and worked as a gold miner and carter in the Bendigo district before launching his merchant and political career.
