A small blue book titled "Poetical Works of J. W. Meaden" The book was published in 1899 by McCarron, Bird and Co. Printers, 479 Collins Street, Melbourne. There is a stamp of the Maldon State School No.1254. On the inside cover there is a photo of John William Meaden, on the following page a dedication to: Cecil H. - Frederick W. - Edith J and Henry W. Meaden, who ministered to their father's happiness in life and who now worthily uphold the honour of his name, this volume is dedicated with respect and admiration. The book has 111 pages.
