A photocopy of a petition presented to the Honorable the Legislative Assembly of Victoria by Chinese Storekeepers appeling for the removal of clause four of the "Act to make provision for certain immigrants". This clause imposed a tax of 10 pounds on every immigrant arriving. The petition was signed by 5186 people.
