Copy of a newspaper cutting titled Modern Building Replaces The Old Post Office at long Gully. Written on the paper is 18/2/47 and Opened 17/2/47. Article mentions the generosity of Mr Thomas Paynting for erecting the new Post Office which the department leased from him. Mrs Paynting opened the new office and was the first customer. A photo shows the window of the old Post Office. It has Post & Telegraph Office and the monogram of Queen Victoria.
