Historical information

William Morley Johnson established a stock and general auctioneers business in Kyneton in 1886 before opening a furniture store in Bendigo in 1897. The initial business operated from Pall Mall opposite the Post Office and then moved to 23 Mitchell Street in 1898. In 1906 the business moved to Sydney. It became a public company in 1952 and ceased business in 1964.

Oval shaped silver plated serving tray advertising the Morley Johnsons store Mitchell Street Bendigo worded Everything For The Home surrounded by engraved acanthus leaves.
