Object. Made of bone-possibly whale bone. The two sections have a ''wheel-like'' structure at their heart, held in place by two small metal pins. This enables the two sections to open, and ''stretch the fingers of the gloves. Tapered, and rounded at the top, the stretchers could be placed inside the fingers of the gloves, and opened and closed to stretch the glove.
