Historical information

Entree card issued to Miss Hewitt of the National Council of Women, Victoria to attend a morning tea at St Kilda Town Hall on 3 March 1958 during the 1958 visit by Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. The Queen Mother was in Australia over the period 14 February – 7 March 1958 to attend the British Empire Service League Conference in Canberra and visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, Adelaide and Perth, and various provincial and country areas.

Physical description

White coloured circular card, discoloured with age, printed in blue on both sides and with blue ribbon attached. The reverse side has been annotated in handwriting, in blue ink, with the name of the invitee.
