Invitation issued to Miss Hewitt of the National Council of Women, Victoria to attend a morning tea at St Kilda Town Hall on 3 March 1958 during the 1958 visit by Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. The event was hosted by the Government of Victoria in association with the Women's Organizations of Victoria. The Queen Mother was in Australia over the period 14 February – 7 March 1958 to attend the British Empire Service League Conference in Canberra and visit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania, Adelaide and Perth, and various provincial and country areas.

Advertisement for the Majestic Private Hotel, 151 Fitzroy Street St Kilda. The building was constructed in 1912 as a block of flats, designed and built by JR Daley, and was renovated in the 1930s. After a fire in 1981, most of the rear of the building was demolished and replaced by modern apartments.

Invitation to two Anzac ceremonies at St Kilda in 1956: a talk by Lawrence McCarthy VC and the screening of films 'Exercise Alphabet' and 'Jungle Fighters' at St Kilda Town Hall on 22 April 1956; and a ceremony at the St Kilda Cenotaph on 25 April 1956. Lawrence Dominic McCarthy, VC (21 January 1892 – 25 May 1975) was awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces, for action in World War I.

Invitation to the official opening of the Alister Clark Memorial Rose Garden at the City Gardens, Blessington Street St Kilda (now the St Kilda Botanical Gardens) on 18 November 1950. Alister Clark was a foundation member of the National Rose Society of Victoria in 1900 and served as its president. He put great effort and skill into developing new varieties that were grown throughout Australia and were highly regarded in the USA. He supplied his new varieties without charge to State rose societies for propagation and sale and won many awards.

Invitation to the official opening of refuse destructor units and asphalt mixing plants at Inkerman Street, St Kilda, on 18 March 1953. The destructor units replaced a garbage incinerator that had been operating at the site for thirty years and had become obsolete. They were expected to serve St. Kilda's requirements for the next 80-100 years. In 1994, as a result of the local government amalgamation process combining the former Cities of Port Melbourne, South Melbourne and St Kilda, the new City of Port Phillip owned three municipal depots. The St Kilda municipal depot site became surplus to requirements and, in 1996, the City of Port Phillip resolved to use the site for a community housing project under the City of Port Phillip Housing Program.

Lt Gen Sir Horace Robertson (29 October 1894 – 28 April 1960) had recently retired after a 43 year career in the Australian Army, during which he served in both World Wars and the Korean war.

Invitation in the form of a typed letter from the General Secretary of the Melbourne Swimming Club,, L M (Les) Phillips to attend a picture night at Leonards Cafe Baths on Monday 29 August. The films shown included films of the 1948 London Olympics and other films of swimming and general interest. The year of the event is unspecified. It could have been 1949 or 1955. The Club was established in 1894 and is not the same as the present day competitive swimming club of that name.
