The two men are Steve Black and his father John at the family fruit stall in Camberwell Market. John Black established his business in the Camberwell Market after he arrived in Melbourne from the Greek island of Ithaca in the 1920s.
Significance
Ithacan Greeks established businesses in the food retail area in the Melbourne CBD and surrounding suburbs in the first half of the twentieth century.
