Photograph - Geelong Tramway first Conductresses

Set of photographs taken of the first women employed on SEC tramways in Geelong; as conductresses in 1942 (Also see Item 9258 and 9261). They are standing in front of a Duncan & Fraser tramcar that, perversely, was modified for 'one man' operation about ten years previous. On the tram saloon window behind then, people are being encouraged to lend to the war effort through War Savings Certificates. Note the four button jackets.
