Rose Series postcard No. P 3042, titled "St Kilda Road, Melbourne", with W2 class 577 (East Coburg Route 1) with a paper boy standing on the footstep. The tram has an auxillary board "via Brighton Road" on the rear. Outbound is another W2 - route 1. A policeman can be seen just in front of the tram. Two copies held.

Significance

Yields information about the main entrance of Flinders St station in the late 1930s.
