Rose Series postcard No. P 3636, titled "Melbourne from St Kilda Road", looking north from just south of Alexandra Avenue. Note how the tram tracks are widened to pass around the center of the road light standard which appears to be marked as a tram stop. In front of the photo, a tram crossover can be seen. There is a tour bus parked at the start of Alexandra Avenue. See item 8044 for a similar view. The Edmund Fitz Gibbon Memorial is on the right in its original position in St. Kilda Road.
