In 2004, three state based blindness organisations (RBS, RVIB, VAF) asked it's member to vote upon a merger. On July 8, 2004 this letter was sent out to audio-profiled members to advise on the successful outcome of the voting members and ratification by the Federal Court. As of July 5, 2004, the new organisation was formed, and this communication was to advise that services would still continue under the name of Vision Australia Foundation and the Board is looking forward to providing enhanced services in the future.
