This photo was donated to the Old Lintonians Association, and kept in the Linton library until 1982. Old Lintonians Collection ; No. 140. Little is known about Edward Sullivan.
The photograph can be dated to the mid-1880s, as the photographer, F. E. Elliott, ran the George & Georges Federal Studio in Collins Street between 1883 and 1886.
