Photograph, Mr & Mrs John Cox : John Cox and Eliza Cox, née McDonald

Historical information

John Cox had mining and farming interests at Linton from about 1860.
He was an uncle of John Henry Cox.
Note: Although an inscription identifies this couple as Mr and Mrs John Cox, there is some doubt about this.
Another photograph of same pair shows a young lad's head between the two adults, this image appears to have been painted over or otherwise blocked out in this photo.
Part of Old Lintonian collection ; No. 15.
