Mrs Catherine Sneddon, née Wardrope, wife of John Sneddon, was born in Scotland in 1828 and died at Berringa in 1914. She was listed as 'nurse' in the Victorian Electoral Roll 1905. Known in Linton as 'Granny Sneddon', she was a midwife, and had three children of her own.
