Mabel May Roberts was born in October 1880 to parents Digory Pendray Roberts and Elizabeth Gellatly Roberts (née Allen). She was one of sixteen children.
Mabel married Thomas Stapleton at Ballarat East in June 1905. She died in September 1956.
