This volume was found among a large collection of documents from Linton Primary School, with no clue as to why it was among that material.

Physical description

Leather quarter bound volume with dark green cloth infill cover, contains copies of correspondence sent and received, handwritten in ink on lined, blue paper. There are no inscriptions or spine titles. The book was commenced by the first manager of the Linton branch of the Bank of New South Wales, Samuel Lewers. The first letter is dated 5 April 1860. Final entry is dated September 14th, 1904. It includes letters written in 1895 by Thomas Lewers on behalf of his mother Mrs S. Lewers, widow of Samuel Lewers.
