Physical description

Optical device for viewing a pair of images (usually photographs) as a three-dimensional image. Wooden handle, metal eyepiece, small fold-out stand. This stereoscope is an example of the type created by Oliver Wendell-Holmes in the 1860s.
Two accompanying sets of stereo cards for viewing (approximately 60 cards altogether) are catalogued separately.
