William Thomas Rowe was the son of William Thomas Rowe (1835-1893) of Glenfine Station, Pitfield. He was an innovative farmer, horse breeder and Grenville Shire Councillor. He married Beatrix Norman, and they had five children. The oldest, born in 1915, was also called William Thomas Rowe.

Photograph of William Thomas Rowe (1873-1935). This image is a copy of a photograph which is on display at the Golden Plains Shire offices in Linton. Cr. W. T. Rowe served as Shire President in 1917-1918 and in 1928-1929.
