Historical information

The oldest child of Susan and William Garnsworthy Bennett, Elizabeth Bennett was noted for her involvement in community and church activities. She was organist at St Paul's Church of England for many years. Elizabeth Bennett married William Todd (the younger, son of William Todd Snr and his wife Sarah, née Thompson) on New Year's Day in 1882, and they celebrated their Golden Wedding in 1932. Elizabeth and William Todd had at least nine children.

She is not wearing a cap or hat. Her dress has a high collar, with lace and a brooch pinned at the throat. The bodice of the dress has pintucks, lace trimming and buttons.
