The photograph is identified in an early index to LDHS photographs as "A New Year's Day picnic at Lake Burrumbeet". The people in the photograph are not identified, and the photograph is undated, however J H Morgan is known to have owned and operated the Linton "Economic Store" until 1930, so the photo may have been taken in the 1920s.
Physical description
Enlarged black and white copy of original photograph which has been mounted on white card. The photograph shows a group of adults and children in an outdoor setting, some are standing, some seated in a horse-drawn wagon which has "J.H. Morgan Economic Stores" painted on the side. The men in the photo are wearing jackets and ties, and everyone is wearing a hat.
