Book of clippings, Home Gardener's Book of Newspaper Clippings

Historical information

This book was on a shelf in the Linton Library building and it is assumed that it belonged to a Linton resident with an interest in gardening, but the identity of this person is unknown.
A sheet of blotting paper which is inside the book has the name and address "Miss I. Lewers, Union Bank of Australasia, 71 Cornhill, London" written on it in pencil.

Physical description

Scrap book with green cloth-covered cardboard cover, which has "Newspaper Cuttings" imprinted on the front cover in dark grey. First six pages are an alphabetised index, with some hand-written entries. Numbered pages have newspaper clippings about gardening pasted to them. A number of loose clippings and a piece of blotting paper are between the front cover and the first page. Some clippings are dated, date range 1912-1925.
