The subject is identified in the early LDHS index to photographs as Samuel Lewers. Mr Lewers was the first bank manager in Linton, and afterwards a JP and first president of the Grenville Shire Council.
Physical description
Enlarged black and white copy of original photograph, mounted on card. The photograph is a head and shoulders portrait of a man with a moustache and beard, who is wearing a jacket (with handkerchief in pocket), buttoned vest, white shirt, and tie or cravat.
