This is a small advertising parachute dropped from Basil Watson's biplane at a flying display in Casterton Vic on 17/2/1917. It was sponsored by Shell and includes a Souvenir Program with notes on Basis Watson plus copies of a newspaper article on his death.

Significance

This is a souvenir from one of Australia's pioneer aviators.
