This item commemorates the war in Vietnam. It was donated by National Serviceman Pte C A James, who served in 8th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, from 28 November 1969 until 12 November 1970.
Physical description
Dark-coloured wooden shield with 4 metal badges affixed: a small striped rectangular bar, the roman numeral V111, the emblem of the Royal Australian Regiment ( which features a crown above a kangaroo and crossed rifles, with a boomerang below and a laurel around the edges), and a small engraved rectangular silver plate.
