Historical information

Rose Series postcard P.3942, Collins Street looking west, shows a view from Exhibition Street with several motor cars. A W2 class tram with route number boxes is in the far distance, and some pedestrians, including a lady in a white habit or uniform. The T&G building on the corner of Russell St sports its original tower as built in 1929 which was subsequently replace with larger one in 1939.
