John Stanley James wrote articles in the Melbourne 'Argus' on the social life and public institutions of Melbourne. Paper includes a bibliography and one page copy of a newspaper article from the Argus, Saturday 5th September, 1996, p4, 'Death of a well known journalist'. James' true identity was not known until 1912.
