Two page typed research paper on John Stanley James, 'The Vagabond', by John Barnes. John Stanley James wrote articles in the Melbourne 'Argus' on the social life and public institutions of Melbourne. Paper includes a bibliography and one page copy of a newspaper article from the Argus, Saturday 5th September, 1996, p4, 'Death of a well known journalist'. James' true identity was not known until 1912.
