Significance
Demonstrates a variety of daily tickets used by the Provincial Tramways in Victoria.
Physical description
A collection of tramways tickets known as 'flimsies', produced by the Electricity Supply Department for the State Electricity Commission of Victoria. The tickets are for use on the provincial tramways of Ballarat, Bendigo and Geelong. The daily tickets, printed on beige, pink or cream colored paper, have a value between 1 pence and 2 pence. The tickets are all individually numbered, and show the value by displaying a large, colored number on the face of the ticket.
Inscriptions & markings
Some of the tickets are stamped with the words "City Section" or "Concession" or "Cancelled".
