The photograph shows J class tram No. 65 at the Kew Depot after a collision with the Deepdene Dasher hauled by locomotive F187 at the Whitehorse Road level crossing. The tram became Ballarat SECV No. 11. Shows the extent of damage to the side of the tram. See item 7654 for a photo of the damaged axle.

Significance

Yields information about the damage to a tramcar after a collision with the Deepdene Dasher in 1923.
