The souvenir paper carry bag from the SS Himalaya, was obtained by Mr Bates on his voyage from the UK to Australia in 1971. One side has a copy of a coloured drawing of the SS Himalaya and on the reverse the SS Iberia. Both ships belonged to the P & O (Pacific & Orient) shipping company
