This coloured postcard has the crossed flags of Australia & the United States held by a figure dressed in the stars & stripes on one side and figure in a 'colonial' outfit. Between the men are several warships. The text reads Australia Greets America. It was a souvenir of the visit of the Great White Fleet in 1908. The sender of the postcard had travelled to Melbourne to see the Great White Fleet.
