The photograph shows VR tram 40 just arrived at Brighton Beach terminus. Both trolley poles are still raised and the destination still shows Brighton Beach, awaiting the crew to make the changes. Some saloon windows are open with a male passenger boarding and a female passenger in long coat approaching the tram. In the mid ground to the left a large passenger shelter can be seen.
