Memo to the Ballarat branch from the Engineer Manager dated 6/7/1965 titled "Rolling Stock safety lighting" about the changes to be made to the front and rear ends of all tramcars. Extending the white apron to the middle of the headlight - to be done in 6 to 8 weeks, and changing the destination rolls from black with white letters to white with black letters. Notes that the use of advertising on the driver's dash panels will not be available and that frequent cleaning of the headlights and re-silvering will be needed in some cases.
