The 100th anniversary of Australia's first powered, controlled, and sustained flight was celebrated in 2010, with events held in Diggers Rest Victoria.
Ehrich Weiss ( better known as Harry Houdini), made Australia's first recognised flight in a Voisin biplane at Diggers Rest on 18th March 1910.
Houdini made three flights that day, the last covering 3km.
