The Bendigo Advertiser was first published in 1853. The Bendigo Independent was founded in 1866. In November 1918 the papers amalgamated and continued under The Bendigo Advertiser banner. The Bendigo Advertiser currently delivers news as a printed newspaper, digital paper and on its website and social media. The paper changed from broadsheet to Tabloid in 1998.
Physical description
A blue coloured book, the back cover is missing. Petty Cash Book is written on the first page. The other lined pages have red columns There are numerous entries and amounts (shillings and pence) on all 200(approx.) pages. The first date is June 30th, 1894. The last is June 5th, 1895. There is no identification of the owner of the book.
