Historical information
Photograph looking south along St Kilda Road from near Commercial Road with several cable trams in the far distance. On the left hand side are two workmen looking at the camera standing by a freshly excavated hole. Similar excavations can be seen along the gutter on the east side of the road. These are possibly for the new tramway overhead poles as part of the cable tram conversion project? Shows the rocks, known as "dragon teeth," around the plantation corners.
