On the 19th of January, 1983, Cynthia Shone of Frankston received a Tattersall's Award for Enterprise and Achievement. The award was presented by the Member of the Legislative Assembly for Frankston, Jane Hill. Mrs Shone received the award "for her ingenuity in inventing simple aids for fellow arthritics which allow them to be more self-sufficient". Mrs Shone also received a cash prize of $500, which she donated to the Frankston Hospital for extensions to the physiotherapy department, where she receives treatment at the arthritis clinic for several hours each week.

Physical description
