Historical information

In March 1983, visiting Canadian physiotherapist, Barbara Stokes, conducted a seminar for physiotherapists at the Rheumatism and Arthritis Association of Victoria's (RAAV) premises at Action House. At the time, Barbara Stokes was a senior physiotherapist at the Ottawa Arthritis Society. The seminar garnered great interest, with over sixty physiotherapists from as far Nhill in the northwest of Victoria and Morwell in the south of the state attending. Some attendees also hailed from interstate. The event also helped to highlight the important role of RAAV in the community. In this photo, Patricia Papadopolous (left) and Dot Mortensen (right) are having a chat during the event.
