In partnership with Arthritis Victoria (incorporating Osteoporosis Victoria), the Western Regional Health Service conducted a seminar on musculoskeletal health for the Vietnamese community. The event was held on the 18th of March, 2003 at the Western Region Health Centre in Braybrook. Speakers included Phong Nguyen (President of the Vietnamese Community), Vicki Andrew (Aged Care and Disability Services Coordinator), and Dr Peter Wong (Rheumatologist). A Q & A session was also held with a panel of health professionals. Facilitated by Trinh Nguyen, the panel included Dr Hoang Tran (GP), Sharon Miller (Dietician), Lily Radcliff (Physiotherapist), and Jane Hawke (Physical Activities officer at Arthritis Victoria). A Vietnamese dance troupe provided entertainment during the lunch break. The day ended with a "Tai Chi for Arthritis" workshop and a strength training class.
