Historical information
Members of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria often supported our fundraising efforts by selling raffle tickets to the general public. In this photo, two unidentified women staff a stall at a major shopping centre to sell raffle tickets to a brand new car.
Physical description
COL photo of a woman at a major shopping centre. She is in the background, sitting at a small table covered in a dark blue or black table cloth, behind a new blue car. There are various items on the table, including some printed leaflets. There is a wooden bench behind her. On the car's windscreen, there are three small (A4 size) yellow signs above one large white sign with 'Arthritis Victoria' in blue text. The letter 'A' in arthritis is a logo. Of the three A4 sized signs, two contain the text, "Tickets $2" - one placed on either side of the windscreen. The sign in the middle contains the text, "This Raffle is staffed by Volunteers". In the background, there are a variety of retail stores, including a 'Santini' shoes, clothing and accessories store and a cafe.
