Historical information
On the 2nd of March 1995, the Centre for Rheumatic Diseases was officially opened at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The Centre was a joint project between the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria, the University of Melbourne, and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. In this photo, Sir Gustav Nossal stands beside the newly revealed plaque commemorating the opening of the Centre.

On the bottom right of the plaque is the text: "President: Dr. Les Koadlow", "Medical Dean: Professor Graeme Ryan, AC", "President: Hon. Margaret Guilfoyle, DBE".
